"10 second Drag Racing"

Several of our team mates have a passion for Drag Racing. Jon Collins and team manager Bunny Burton, have launched a new car for the upcoming year of drag racing. This car will be a rocket! With a goal of bettering the magical 10 second threshold, Jon's 68 Camaro is a steel bodied, tube chassis, ground up build.

What's a tube chassis, you ask? Like all cars, the original Camaro was built using a heavy steel chassis which contributes a lot of weight to the car. By replacing that chassis with a custom-built frame of tubing and aluminum, the car becomes stronger for racing but a whole lot lighter! Less weight = more speed = quicker through the traps!

The car features a 468 cubic inch, big-block Chevy, with ram-air induction. Jon will start the 2010 racing year conservatively to get the car sorted out but this power plant gives lots of room for improvement!
